2. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

2.2 Account Types

Veri offers two primary account types:

• Candidate Accounts: For individuals seeking to verify their identity and collect professional references.
• Company Accounts: For organizations that want to verify candidates and access verification services.

2.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the Service. You may also delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Create fake profiles: Impersonate another person or create accounts with false identity information.
• Submit fraudulent references: Write or solicit false, misleading, or fabricated professional references.
• Harass others: Use the Service to harass, abuse, or threaten other users.
• Circumvent verification: Attempt to bypass, manipulate, or falsify identity verification processes.
• Spam or abuse: Send unsolicited reference requests or abuse the platform's messaging features.
• Scrape or harvest data: Use automated means to collect user information from the Service.
• Interfere with the Service: Attempt to disrupt, disable, or overburden the Service or its infrastructure.
• Violate laws: Use the Service in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations.

4. Identity Verification (KYC)

Certain features of the Service require identity verification through our Know Your Customer (KYC) process.

Companies accessing verification data must:

• Comply with all applicable data protection and privacy laws
• Not share verification data with unauthorized third parties
• Implement appropriate security measures to protect accessed data

5.3 Team Management

Company administrators are responsible for managing team member access and ensuring all team members comply with these Terms.

6. Credits & Payments

6.1 Credit System

Certain features require credits, which may be purchased or earned through the Service. Credits are used to access premium verification services and features.

6.2 Purchases

All purchases are processed through our secure payment partners. Prices are displayed in the applicable currency and include all applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

6.3 Refund Policy

Credits and subscription fees are generally non-refundable once used or activated. Refund requests for unused credits may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Contact our support team for refund inquiries.

6.4 Credit Expiration

Unless otherwise specified, purchased credits do not expire. Promotional or bonus credits may have expiration dates, which will be communicated at the time of issuance.

You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service, including your profile information, references you write, and verification documents. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and process your content as necessary to provide the Service.

The Service, including its design, features, and technology, is owned by Veri and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our platform without our written permission.

7.3 Trademarks

"Veri," our logo, and other product names are trademarks of Veri. You may not use our trademarks without prior written consent.

8. Disclaimers

8.1 Service Provided "As Is"

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy

While we strive to ensure the accuracy of verification services, we do not guarantee that all identity verifications or references are accurate, complete, or reliable. Users should exercise their own judgment when making decisions based on information obtained through the Service.

8.3 Third-Party Content

Professional references are written by users and represent their personal opinions. We do not endorse, verify the accuracy of, or assume responsibility for any reference content submitted by users.

8.4 Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERI AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, revenue, or data
• Decisions made based on verification or reference information
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any other matters relating to the Service

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. If these laws apply to you, some or all of the above limitations may not apply.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Veri and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

You agree to waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Veri.

• Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
